Summer days
So much energy and joy!
Running, dancing, hugging, singing, sharing, being best friends, but also crying and arguing. That are real kids and this is how I love to photograph. Being themselves in their routines and keep those happy memories from a real childhood.

What to wear in a photo session?
Yesterday I went shopping and I returned back home with a new scarf, a bag and baby clothes (for a friend of mine that just became auntie for the first time.Yupi yeah!). Looking at them, it came straight away to my mind how cool would be to have this patterns and colours in an Autumn photo session, so I´ve put together a few items to inspire you a bit.
Woman // bag, scarf, top and shorts (old collection) from Stradivarious, Tribal bracelets from Trincar Uvas and "peace and love" ring from BareFoot Fanatics. Baby// tunic and shoes from Next
What to wear? It is one of the most common questions I hear, and in fact, what we wear make a big difference in the final result of a photo session. There is no secret formula and unexpected combinations can sometimes work well, however, it is important to plan a bit and find an harmonious combination. When there are kids, often we tend to choose evident colors as pink or blue, but there are many other options that can be considered.
You can find a few tips here or get inspiration here, but the most important is to feel comfortable and confident. If you don´t know how to conjugate colours, a good exercise is to pay attention when you step in a shop, the collections are organized and thought by designers, and often are displayed in a specific way to create harmony and new trends. Looking at it with some awareness, you can understand what works best, which colors are complementary and what doesn´t work at all.
Our tone of skin, hair and eyes´ colour also dictates which colours flatter us more. There are many studies about Season Colour Analysis and it is always fun to make a quiz and find which colours suit us best.
Jeans, white tops, a few nice accessories are always safe choices, but when moderate, patterns can bring some singleness. Go wild, but be yourself! :)

Jasmine flower tea
The days in Malta are getting longer and warmer, but not yet too hot for a cup of tea. We got Jasmine Flower tea at the bazaar in Istanbul (amazing city btw) and is the coolest tea ever tried. The flavour is very soft and a bit bitter, good to calm down a bit after such a busy day.
The cake is Lemon and Coconut vegan cake. I´m keeping my experiences in the kitchen and is quite nice to try new and healthy things. It´s not about the destination, is about the journey and I feel I´m finding myself again.

Spring is here!
Not much time left for updates, which brings me some frustration.. so many nice photos to show. Slowly slowly, I´m gonna manage. Lets think positive. :)
Paper Kites - Bloom. I can´t take this song from my head...

better late than never.
not many updates lately, but new and good things happening now. more photo sessions coming up. I just need 10 days a week instead of 7. Can it be?!

10/52 Self- Portrait
Cheating (but in a sweet way)!
This week I haven´t take any self-portrait, this one was taken around two weeks ago. The last days just flew between rain, storms, hail and cold. I can´t believe spring is gone again.
Today I made these mini pancakes with yogurt, honey, cinnamon, flaked almonds, icing sugar and pecans. I was thinking about the mini pancakes (of which I am a fan since little) that a German man sell in Moncarapacho´s market; and I was thinking a lot about my mum as well, because she is having birthday tomorrow.
We have Freesias at home! They sell them everywhere now. It perfumes the whole house and brings me good memories of my grandmother who passed away some years ago. They were her favorite flowers and in the spring she always asked my mom if she could pick some from our garden.
Feeling lately a bit homesickness, but knowing they are fine, warms my heart.
Have a good week!

Mummy cool
I met Klaudia some weeks ago in Valletta for a "last coffee and cupcake" before Chloé´s arrival in this world. And was just in time.
Yesterday I met the little one and she is so, but so cute and beautiful. Well, look at her mum!! (ok Jerry, you do not look bad as well) !!Happy for seeing you so happy with your little star.
This song, because today (and the passed 4 weekends) is raining. hey Spring, where are you?
