Today I feel blessed.

This week I noticed that a friend of mine has set up a blog about Portuguese literature, together with his own poems and thoughts. I was thinking how blessed I feel when I think about my friends and how proud I am to see some of them investing their souls into beautiful projects. I believe people that have the strength to keep working on their own stuff whilst holding down a full time job must be special!
Today I went for a walk into the nature by the cliffs and sea and my talented friend help me with this portrait (just love it).
Soon I will have a project together with my lovely Joaninha (check her amazing jewellery) and maybe one day I will travel to India with Jin´s project.
Not everyone has a blog or website, but they still play guitar, do photography, draw, craft, illustrate, paint, recycle furniture, write, sing ... and feel fulfilled with the path they (we) chose.


Creativity is a kind of magic and I want it forever in my life.

1/52 weeks - self portrait

Last year I did the 52 project - one photo each week of 2013 and was an incredible experience. It was a big challenge, but was also an amazing routine and made me look into my dailly life more deeply.

For 2014 I decided something even more challenging: 52 weeks - self portrait photos. I want to learn more about myself, the different aspects of my personality and how I interpreted life and what surrounds me. Some photos I will plan a bit, other ones (like this one), it will be a consequence of the circumstances.

Is good to have you here and to know this project is not only mine. Happy 2014!

Em 2013 fiz pela primeira vez o Projecto 52 - uma foto por cada semana do ano, que se revelou uma experiência incrível. Além de ter sido um desafio enorme que me fez crescer enquanto fotógrafa, também acabou por ser uma rotina que me obrigou a olhar para o meu dia a dia de uma forma diferente e mais profunda.

Este ano, resolvi arriscar um pouco mais e fazer na mesma o Projecto 52, mas desta vez com auto-retratos. Com este projecto pretendo conhecer-me melhor, descobrir recantos escondidos da minha personalidade e ver de fora como interpreto a vida e o que me rodeia.
Algumas fotos serão um pouco mais planeadas, outras (como esta) apenas uma consequência das circunstâncias.

É bom saber que estão aí e que este projecto não é apenas meu. Feliz 2014!
